Long-time readers might remember that, as the resident paper lover in the Southern Weddings office, I get irrationally excited about my yearly pilgrammage to the National Stationery Show in New York. The NSS is held every year in May, so you can expect to see the report from my 2012 visit in just a few weeks! (Whee!)

As a little bit of a paper prelude, then, we have a special treat for you from Momental Designs. Kristy put together four different Southern spring invitation suites, and we’re so happy to share them with you today! If you’re not familiar with her work, be prepared to be impressed – each piece is individually hand-painted, meaning each is truly a work of art. What a way to invite guests to your wedding!

The first Southern suite Kristy put together for us was inspired by spring blooms in delicate shades of pink.

Aren’t these photos by Cyn Kain just lovely? Kristy’s second suite was also flower-based, but this time focused on the blue hydrangea.

The gorgeous old trees of the South took center stage in suite number three. This one would be perfect for a backyard bash at the bride’s childhood home!

The last suite Kristy dreamed up was inspired by the iconic Southern fabric, seersucker. I love her artistic interpretation of this familiar material!

Huge thanks to Kristy and the Momental team for putting together these pieces, and to Cyn Kain for photographing them!

Tell me, belles: Have you purchased your wedding invitations yet? Where are they coming from?
