We are carried by Target, Walmart, Barnes and Noble, Walgreens, and a heap of grocery stores including Harris Teeter, Food Lion, and Publix. If you can’t find a copy near you, you’re welcome to purchase one on our site. Current and back issues are also available for purchase on our site.

I fell in love with a pair of shoes on your site. Do you know who the designer is or where I can buy them?

In general, we include all of the information we have for a given blog feature in the post. However, if you have a question, please leave a comment on that particular post and an editor will do her best to track it down for you!

How do you choose weddings, engagement sessions, and shoots for your site?

We look for gorgeous photography, meaningful SOUTHERN details we’ve never seen before, and a sincere love story.

What the heck are V2, V3, V4, and V5?

That’s just our way of referring to our print editions — V2 is the second issue, which premiered in November 2009, V3 is the third issue, which premiered in October 2010, and V4 is the fourth issue, which debuted on October 25, 2011! V5 will be o

I’m dying for more! When will the next issue of Southern Weddings hit newsstands?

Southern Weddings Print Edition No. 4 (a.k.a. V4) debuted on newsstands around the country on October 25, 2011! Look for V5 in fall 2012.

Excellent! But I want more print goodness!

May we suggest our editorial galleries? They feature tons of photos from many of our past editorial features. Check them out here!

Are y’all on Twitter?

How do I submit a product or business to be featured on the blog?

Please email Nicole with all product and business submissions. If you’d prefer to send a physical sample, please email us for the appropriate mailing address.

I would like to advertise on the Southern Weddings site and/or in the print edition. What are my options?

We would love to have you! Our new site offers a wide variety of options to suit every need, and our print editions explode off the shelves around the country. Please fill out this form, and our Ad Director Marissa will be in touch with a media kit, rates, and availability. We look forward to meeting you!

What is the Honey List and how can I get involved?

The Honey List is a destination review source within the Southern Weddings site. Our editors use it to share their experiences at properties within the South and around the world that they think would make perfect destinations for our brides’ honeymoons. If you have a property you think we should know about, please get in touch with Marissa.

I would love to work with y’all. Are you hiring?

We are not currently hiring. We do on occasion offer internships, and when we do, we always post the openings and application details on our blog. If you’re interested in a job in weddings in general, we suggest you take a look at Wedding Industry Jobs, a great job board geared towards the wedding industry.

I am interested in being featured as a Southern Bride of the Month. Who should I contact?

We can’t wait to meet you! Please email Emily your story, a short description of the wedding you’re planning, a photo of you and your groom, and a link to your wedding planning blog. Please only apply if you are currently planning a wedding in the South. Due to the high volume of submissions, we unfortunately can’t respond personally to every inquiry.

Who are your Southern Bride Bloggers?

The Southern Bride Bloggers are a collection of blogs written by our engaged readers (see them all here!). If you would like to be listed, please send Nicole the following information: your name, your blog address, and your wedding date. We simply ask that you be engaged, that you write about planning your own wedding at least once a week, and that you be either Southern or planning a Southern wedding!

How can I get my wedding featured on SW?

To be considered for an online real wedding feature, the wedding must have taken place in the Southeastern United States OR have a Southern component or appeal to Southern brides in some way. To be considered for a print real wedding feature, the wedding must have taken place in the Southeastern United States.

Photographers: Please email 20-25 good web-quality .jpg attachments (do not inbed in email or send slideshows; do not send high-res files) to Emily (emily at iloveswmag dot com) along with the following information: couple’s name, wedding date, wedding location, and any vendor information you have (names and websites).

Brides: Please ask your photographer to do the above.

Due to the high volume of submissions, we unfortunately cannot respond to all inquiries. If the wedding is chosen, we will email you to request an interview from the couple and additional details. If you have not heard back from us within three weeks, we welcome you to submit your work to another publication.

All submissions are considered simultaneously for both the blog and for print unless the photographer specifies otherwise. Please note we do have a strict exclusivity policy and cannot share work that has been featured on another blog or in another publication. If you think your submission is perfect for print, we recommend you do not even share the wedding on your own blog before sending it to us.

Thank you so much for thinking of Southern Weddings as a showcase for your work! We look forward to collaborating with you!

Do you give preference to advertisers in features?

No, but we do screen our advertisers based on their quality of work, so many of them are featured on the SW blog and in the print edition. We welcome ANYONE to submit weddings. We love getting submissions from up-and-comers as well as seasoned pros and are always excited to meet new-to-us vendors. We look forward to getting to know you!
