Megan + Steven’s wedding took place at the Meredith College Chapel, where Megan and most of her bridesmaids went to school. I also would be remiss not to mention Megan’s gorgeous ensemble — dress by Casablanca, shoes by Paris Hilton via My Glass Slipper. Her bridesmaids and honorary bridesmaids shined in pink and aqua dresses from J. Crew, accessorized with vintage handkerchiefs Megan collected over several months. Megan + Steven’s reception at The Stockroom in Raleigh was as delightful as their ceremony! While Megan and her mom were the creative geniuses behind the details, A Joyful Occasion coordinated the big day. Catering by Design took care of the food — and man, did their menu sound delicious! The beautiful monogrammed cake was designed by Ambrosia Cake Creations, and the flowering branch, peony, and rose floral arrangements were by Dogwood Tree Floral. One of the most special details? Megan’s (gorgeously monogrammed) reception dress was made by a dear friend, Joslyn Chase! But you want to know what my favorite detail from Megan + Steven’s wedding was? The BISCUIT BAR! Megan got the idea from SW V3 (see the whole shoot here!), but put her own spin on it. I love that her mother-in-law sewed all the take-home bags! Nancy Ray was, of course, the talent behind the lens.
The overall feeling caused by wedding planning: The engines runnin’ but nobody’s drivin
