Virginia weddings always make me a little giddy, and Michelle + King’s Charlottesville celebration is everything I could hope for: an authentic 100-acre plantation (once owned by Thomas Jefferson’s son-in-law!), a Southern-sized troupe of attendants and some of the most darling flower girls I’ve ever seen. The classic black & white photos from Adam Barnes Photography isn’t too shabby, either! The bride wowed in a feminine Modern Trousseau lace dress and vintage veil, and the eleven-strong bridesmaids were lovely in lavender gowns from Priscilla of Boston. As a lover of all rose bouquets, it’s no surprise I love the delicate blooms from Pat’s Floral Design. Barbara Lundgren of Barb Wired, LLC offered day-of coordination, and the talented team at the Inn designed an elegant three-tiered cake with fun purple flourishes. And what do y’all think of the sweet lavender bunting strung up inside the tent? We love! M + K ended the night in crowns fit for a bride and her King!
State of mind during wedding planning: A good attitude is like kudzu – it spreads.
