Where you call home: I was born and raised in Northern California, so I’ll always call that home, but currently we’re living in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: Being featured on Southern Weddings for our Oh Deer shoot, and being invited to be a Blue Ribbon Vendor, of course!! Also, tripling our business in the first two years by sweet vendor referrals!
Location/coverage: Serving South Florida, Northern California, and destination weddings upon request.
How I got into weddings: I first went to college with every intention of being a teacher. They say the average freshman changes their major about five times, so on that route, I was soon drawn to graphic design. Realizing I didn’t want to spend ten hours behind a desk each day, my sorority sister said I should look into our hospitality and event planning major, where I’d get to be a teacher and designer and put my people skills and creativity to better use. One course in particular where I got to plan a wedding as my final completely stole my heart. I knew from that moment on weddings were my passion and what I was meant to do!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South: Everyone’s attire and attitudes. Southern gals and gents dress to the nine, and the whole day is filled with so much love and strong, sweet tradition.
Favorite part of a wedding day: The moment when the bridal march begins to play, and everyone stands, looking and waiting for the bride. I love being there at the back of the aisle with the bride-to-be, sending her off to start the rest of her life with her soon to be husband.
Dream travel destination: New Zealand! I studied abroad there in college and have been dying to go back ever since.
Favorite Southern city: I haven’t actually been there yet, but I’m dying to go to Nashville. Country music absolutely melts my heart, and Nashville is full of so much culture and so much life!
Early bird or night owl: Is there an afternoon animal? I love my beauty sleep, what can I say! But, early bird catches the worm, and there’s nothing better than a South Florida sunrise.
Pottery Barn or Anthropologie: Oh my gosh, Pottery Barn. Can I win the lotto so they can come redecorate my entire house and office?!
