This business was inspired by a love of photography, digital imaging and a passion for sharing the beauty and energy of a very special moment with film. My background in fine arts sets my work apart, as well as having many hours of experience behind both digital video and still cameras. I believe each wedding is different and I look forward to finding those differences and the uniqueness in each couple. I love getting to see the first moments of a new family.
Where you call home: Kansas City
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: My Momma (and my Daddy too) are proud of the business I created out of my passion. After putting myself through graduate school and teaching art, I finally found a way to get back into MAKING art and managed to turn it into a successful woman-owned business. I think the thing that makes me most proud though is getting to read the kind words from a couple after they watch their wedding film. Makes me tear up every time!
Location/coverage: Kansas, Missouri, open for travel!
How I got into weddings: Favorite thing about weddings in the South? I love the authenticness of Southern weddings. The personal details and things that are clearly important to a couple that are highlighted on their wedding day.
Favorite part of a wedding day? It is an overarching moment, but every wedding has it – the realization that I am witnessing the birth of a new family. Watching the bride and groom’s family and friends during this moment and celebrating it with them is so precious!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? A good wedding film always has wonderful toasts that speak to the bride and groom as a couple. You might ask your best man or maid of honor to help tell the story of how you met or proposed, or a story of the two of you that your guests might not know about. It is nice to hear about the couple in the wedding toasts.
Dream travel destination? Cinque Terre, Italy.
Favorite Southern city? I recently fell in love with Charleston, SC while riding all over on a tour bike! Such a charming town.
Early bird or night owl? I am a night owl by nature, but an early bird out of necessity.
Pie bar or red velvet cake? Really, just anything chocolate.
Succulents or peonies? Peonies! They are just thinking about blooming in my garden and I can’t wait to cut them and bring them in the house! My poor son will be very upset about the ants though.
