Things you’d write home to your Momma about: I am so proud of the photos that I’ve had featured online and in magazines but the one thing that gets me so excited is when I hear from clients telling me how much they love their pictures.
Location/coverage: Based in New Orleans, but will travel anywhere for love.
How I got into weddings: I started my business after working for a newspaper in Palm Beach, FL for 11 years. I had photographed some weddings on the side as a favor to friends and just fell in love with it. It felt like such an exciting new world to me. I’ve found that my photojournalism background has been a great benefit to me when it came to photographing the moments of a wedding. I could be that unobtrusive fly on the wall, able to observe and capture those special moments while they unfolded.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Southern charm, bow ties and sweet tea.
Favorite part of a wedding day? My favorite part of the wedding day would be the “first look” or right after the ceremony when I get to photograph the couple alone. I think this time is such a special moment between the bride and groom. No one else is around. They are so relaxed and happy, still radiating with the excitement of becoming husband and wife.
Favorite Southern city? New Orleans…it has its own uniqueness

Pie bar or red velvet cake? Red velvet, I am a cake girl.
Pottery Barn or Anthropologie? Anthropologie and BHLDN
Succulents or peonies? Do I have to pick? I love them both.
