Things you’d write home to your Momma about: We are so thankful that our weddings have been featured in the US and abroad, but what we are most happy about is the friendships we’ve built with our brides and grooms! We love having the opportunity to capture those precious new milestones for our couples – like when they move into their first home, or welcome their brand new baby. Becoming ‘life photographers’ for our couples, and seeing their love stories grow, inspires us every day.
Location/coverage: Dallas and Austin are our main cities… but we love to travel and we’ll go anywhere in the world for our brides!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? The hospitality, yummy goodness, adorable brides and grooms, and (of course!) the Southern charm.
Favorite part of a wedding day? The first few moments after a bride and groom tie the knot. The newly married bliss is contagious – we can’t help but smile behind the camera!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Enjoy your day! Our best advice is to make time (sometime during the day) for just the two of you. Creating a memory of your most memorable day will be something you’ll cherish forever. If that means private dining, or 20 minutes for a private walk, or sharing a special slice of wedding cake alone, make it unique and all about YOU, your love, and your gorgeous celebration!
Dream travel destination? We love Europe! Ivy was born there, and we went to Spain on our honeymoon. Italy is our dream… would love to go there one day!
Favorite Southern city? It’s a tie between Austin, Texas, and Asheville, North Carolina.
Early bird or night owl? Night Owls… but we’re known to get up early for a gorgeously romantic sunrise session!
Pie bar or red velvet cake? Both! Matt loves a good pie bar, and Ivy loves cake, especially lemon cupcakes!
