How I got into weddings: Neither of us have any photographic background or education, though we’ve always been drawn to the arts. For years my main focus was in music, as I studied oboe and piano, and in college I pursued a degree in oboe performance. After college, I actually picked up photography while trying to find a job. Little did I know that I would make a career with photography. Kurt, my husband, used to be a chef and to this day he still loves experimenting with and creating amazing food. I started the business myself and Kurt joined a year later, as it really was too much work for one person to handle. Everything really evolved organically. Kurt and I are now ending our third year of business and we absolutely love our job and the couples we are able to capture and interact with.
Favorite part of a wedding day? For both of us, it’s most definitely our portrait time with the bride and groom. We always keep these sessions private, as the emotion and interaction that unfolds is so beautiful. It’s wonderful to see all the cares and worries melt away and see two people who get lost for a couple of moments.
Favorite Southern city? Savannah, South Carolina… love the art and culture of this city!

Succulents or peonies? Succulents, we do love those little cactus things.
