Things you’d write home to your Momma about: My work has been featured in Southern Weddings, Bride & Bloom, Weddings Unveiled, and most of the major wedding blogs. I couldn’t be more thankful for the press and recognition. However, what I cherish most are the sweet things my clients say. In particular, a client once told me, “You have the calmness of a Jedi!” I treasure that compliment.
How I got into weddings: Four years ago, I began penning my blog, and soon realized my calling had found me. As what was then little white book, but is now the merriment blog, grew and became nationally recognized, I began taking my first event clients and my first styling clients.
Favorite part of a wedding day? I adore seeing everything we’ve concepted come to life and the first reveal to the couple.
Best piece of advice you can give to a bride and groom? Stay focused – it’s so easy to get off track when you’re planning and to forget the reason why you’re planning. It’s so, so important to stay centered, however you can. I recommend that my clients write a wedding brief.
Dream travel destination: La Napoule, France – it’s such a heavenly little seaside town. I plan to run away to La Napoule one day.
Favorite Southern city? Richmond, hands down. I’m crazy in love with this city!
