How I got into weddings: My background is interior design. I started planning the design firms event from open houses to holiday soirees. I later created and designed a bath and body sister store from the ground up. I found that I enjoyed designing and planning these event more than designing for peoples houses and voila!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? All the sweet southern details. Giant oak trees, anything seersucker, bow ties, sweet tea, beautiful garden flowers and for sure the southern hospitality.
Favorite part of a wedding day? It’s a tie between sending the bride down the aisle and the brides dance with her father. One of the two is sure to bring me to tears.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Try to take a few minutes at some point in the night to step back and really take in what is happening. Find a little nook off to the side for the two of you to revel in your special day.
Early bird or night owl? Night owl
Pie bar or red velvet cake? Hmmm. I love sweets but I think I would have to go with Pie Bar
Succulents or peonies? I do love succulents, but Peonies are so romantic and timeless. Peonies for sure!
